There are several positive impacts on the society thanks to the field of Crime Scene Analysis. Some of those effects include collecting and analyzing to help make the society and investigators more aware, effective, and helping to predict future crime trends and patterns. Its timeliness helps to solve cases before they become outdated and old. We also benefit from the technological advances. Its demand for professionals is high therefore

creating more jobs. It helps to find suspects and reduces the number of existing offenders, while somewhat easing public anxiety. It reduces overall property crime rates and provides Insight to the Criminal Environment.

    But of course, along with the positive, there comes negative impacts to the society in relation to the field of Crime Scene Analysis. Some of these negative impacts include: that it allows for other people to commit crimes such as identity theft and fraud, when finding someone's DNA it doesn't necessarily mean that they are the ones who have committed the crime, and it may not be the most cost effective use of financial resources. In addition, any false information, evidence, or small mistake can lead to an arrest of an innocent person.
